Wired Magazine covered Digital Matatus in their science section, in an article titled "How Nairobi Got Its Ad-Hoc Bus System on Google Maps" by Shara Tonn. The article illustrates the large dependency on semi-informal matatu operations in Nairobi, and introduces how Digital Matatus engaged in this condition through data collection, paper map release of matatu routes, and its integration with Google Maps. The article further describes the ongoing conversation with four more African cities - Kampala, Accra, Lusaka, and Maputo - to implement Digital Matatus.
