DigitalMatatus developed two crowdsourcing apps this year

These apps are TwigaTatu and Ma3Tycoon, both courtesy of Cotsworld foundation. They enable crowdsourcing matatu fares and route changes.

TwigaTatu is an android app that helps you track and manage your matatu fare expenditure.

Ma3Tycoon is an android app game, built to crowdsource matatu route updates by taping into the expertise of matatu riders, drivers and others who use the system everyday to get updates of such routes.
